Even/Sometimes/Although it wasn't always glamorous - there were times when we got/became/turned covered in paint/dust/spackle and our living room was a makeshift construction zone. But looking back/in retrospect/now, those experiences taught me valuable skills/lessons/knowledge that I still use today. It's pretty/kinda/surprisingly rewarding to know that I can handle/fix/repair things around the house, all thanks to growing up in a home that was always undergoing/experiencing/receiving renovation.
